My daughter, Jessica, was born weighing 3 pounds 4 ounces, and wasn't expected to live. I met her when she was 6 days old, because my best friend, Arlene Hunt, just knew I would love this little baby who had no eyes, missing finger tips and toe, severe cleft palate/lip,& an encephlacele (part of her brain was where the nose should have been). Now, she is an accomplished singer and songwriter. I added various pictures of our family, with Jessica singing two songs (a couple of times). The first one, Love Them Anyhow, is one she wrote (copywrited), and the second one was written for her by her middle school teacher, Chuck Balkwill. The slide show is long & has a few seconds of silence, as I didn't know how to blend the two songs together. Our children were some of the children that agencies called "Hard to Place," because of their age, race or "disabled.". My children have labels like Downs Syndrome, blindness, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, etc. These were just ways of describing their physical beings. But, we know their abilities...love, faith, laughter. They often show me the little discoveries that many are just too busy to notice. They were born in various US states, and Viet Nam, Korea, Brazil, the Phillinpines, and India. We are a blessed family!
