Maynard made his grand appearance in Florence 11/23/10 and people lined up in their cars until 11 p.m. to get pictures of him. This morning his friend Max showed up and the picture taking started all over again. Their proud owners Harry & Betty Johnson are pleased the two friends are such a hit. After Maynard was created and the first hulabaloo was started a friend told Betty that Maynard should have a friend so Betty went out this morning and made Max. She was going to make a baby bear but there wasn't enough snow around for another undertaking of that size so she decided to give him a dog. Smiles abound here in Florence. Happy Holidays.
