Was in for a big surprise when I went up to the falls yesterday. The road was closed.Never occurred to me that the gate would be locked. What with waist deep snow and more on the way... makes for a hard trek into the falls.
For those hardy souls that might want to try it..its almost a half mile trek into the falls from the gate. The snow level is at 36 inches deep. One can cross country ski into it.
The snow falling from the trees comes down in big clumps.. many look like they could weigh 10 lbs or more.. watch out for that...
