In an league dual that pitted last years two top wrestling teams against each other, the Churchill High School Lancer Wrestlers easily overcame their foe with style and might. Winning every match they wrestled less one, Churchill streamed to a 50 - 24 victory over the Thurston Colts. If not for a couple vacant weight classes for Churchill, the score may have been even more lopsided by the end of the night. Churchill placed 2nd in state last season and look to add more accolades as the season progresses. With a roster of returning State champions, finalists and placers such as Zac Brunson, Housten Ezell, Trevor Davis, Joey Potts, Dylan Beneat, David Tena, Max Thomas, and Chase Kearney; Churchill will again strut their Red, White and Blue at the Memorial Collesium in Portland next month. Nice job Lancers on a job so very well done.
