I was standing in my driveway February 12, 2011 and this sharpshinned hawk dive bombed a jay right in front of me in my driveway. Poof, cloud of feathers, and then the hawk proceeded to tear at the still live jay until I got a little too close w/ my camera. It flew off w/ jay in talon to eat in peace.

Instead of trolling around being the official 'bird cop', why don't you offer up an idea instead of an argument. Until then, EH, keep your mouth shut. That is a female scrub jay.

That's not a Jay, we have Western Scrub Jays, and Stellar Jays here, both are very blue in color, even the babies.
