Officer Kilcullen with my daughter Maddie in May of 2009

Officer Kilcullen

In May of 2009 my daughter and I attended a Eugene Police safety event held in the parking lot of VRC. There, we were honored to meet Officer Chris Kilcullen. He was so gracious and kind enough to take this photo with Maddie and allow her to sit on his bike. We are forever greatful for this moment in time we shared with him!

Our hearts and prayer go out to Officer Kilcullen's family. I was with one of his cousins when she got the news and I encouraged her to hope for the best. I can't begin to explain the heartache I feel. God Speed Officer Kilcullen.

What a nice story about a dedicated public servant who was also clearly a wonderful person. Our prayers go out to his family. We are so fortunate to have people like Officer Kilcullen in our community and so saddened by his murder.
