This is a story about a man name Todd and how his life has always been dedicated to giving... starting when he was a young boy riding around with his grandmother delivering meals on wheels and watching his father involved with the local Habitat for Humanity. Todd developed the concept of giving rather than receiving.
It took him ten years to be able to put it into full concept. Beginning with the challenge of his Father In-law to open Cafe 440 16 months ago, soon after that his Father In-law developed an aggresive form of cancer that took his life seven months later. This lead him into supporting the American Cancer Society.
In the beginning he knew he had to advertise to get his Cafe out and known in the community and develope a solid clientel. After a year in business, he made his decision to take all of his advertising dollars and put it 100% back into the community. Specifically, to those in need. Such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, this year he raised $6000 in one day.
This past April, proceeds from the restaurant went to the Relief Nursery... Todd's recent giving to the Habitat for Humanity provided five days of meals to the Women's build project... and many more.
His view of life is: no one has a promise of tomorrow, so light the fire today and see where it takes you.
An amazing man, well worth sharing his story...
