On September 11th in Independence Oregon the first "Cowboys & Soldiers" Benefit Concert will take place. This is an all day country music festival featuring five musical acts, (including two from Nashville) local and regional food, craft, and military vendors, a civil war re-enactment, military climbing wall, Shriner's clowns, Air National Guard fly over, silent auction, and much more. All proceeds will benefit veteran's organizations: VetDogs, CSI, and area chapters of the VFW. Gates open at 11am with opening ceremony beginning at noon.
