Can The Sun Cast A Shadow UP...?

This is an interesting optical illusion...
I have had several shots with contrail shadow, but there was always just one, and it is difficult to tell.
Today, when there were two, it made the illusion even MORE EVIDENT!
The two contrails in this shot (R), cast SHADOWS on the clouds (L)... But, it looks as though the Contrails are UNDER the clouds, in which case they could NOT cast a shadow on the clouds... Because there is NO WAY the Sun(Far R) is UNDER the contrail, casting a shadow UP!
