A thirty nine year old graduate of Lowell High School will go to the world Veteran Wrestling Tournament in Albania next week. On October 11, Alvin Riggs will venture into the unknown on a quest, even when he wonders whether it is a crusade or a mid life crisis. Alvin has been wrestling most of his life...first as a pre-schooler, then through school to an OSAA Championship, on to college, National Veterans Championship (in Tucson, AZ), and currently coaching little wrestlers at the school where he got his start. As a friend of his advised, "We all have had opportunities that we wish we had pursued at one time or another and didn't. This is your opportunity! Enjoy! Good Luck!"

I remember all these wrestling families just like it was yersterday. There is no doubt Lowell is a better place because of these guys. Generation after generation of unbelievable wrestling talent. Nice to see that old guys dominating still. Lol!!
