Three hundred fifty-five days ago, my life changed forever. My son graced this world with his presence, and every day it amazes me how so much love can be packed into that tiny body. That his little laugh fills me with so much joy. It seems as if just yesterday, we were anxiously awaiting his arrival. Now, he is about to turn one. This was his first Halloween, but it also had another significance: it is his last "first" holiday.
For this very reason, I wanted to cherish every moment, to squeeze every drop out of the day that would all too soon become a vague memory captured only in a few photos in his baby book.
We snapped photos while carving pumpkins, playing in the leaves, getting ready, and during our visits while we trick-or-treated family and friends. Daniel was a little skunk, as you can see, and he was such a trooper in that bulky costume! It was hard for me to choose just a few pictures, because I love them all. Each tells a different story, a story of joy, and love. Thank you for letting me share this story with you.
