With Grandpa traveling by ambulance to the hospital the previous afternoon, I wasn't sure what to expect from this Christmas... especially since we were at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. I was right, and this Christmas definitely wasn't the normal, joyful day. However, there were moments when things were almost normal, and the kids found plenty to be joyful about. These are some (hopefully, in future years, this Christmas will be remembered for these moments more then any other reason).
My oldest was absolutely THRILLED with the gifts that Santa left. And our traditional wrapping paper war went on as usual... although we were missing an important participant. We visited Grandpa later in the afternoon, and we're hoping that he's back home before the new year.
