Date Line, Wed., April 25th Lunch Hour...Two Wild Turkeys held up traffic at West 11th and Baily Hill Road today. Turkeys are smart birds and unlike Chickens were just not trying to get to the other side. They were headed straight for Carl's Jr. probably for the Chicken sandwich special. Several citizens running in circles eventually ran them down south to Westside Glass where they hunkered down for a rest. Obviously these Turkey's realize the holidays are over and they are safe for awhile...Several Wild Turkeys have been flying and walking into West Eugene neighborhoods these past 2 weeks. They do dart into traffic so keep your eyes open. If you do accidentally hit one, call me. We'll have dinner !
