It was such a lovely day my roommate & I decided to take our inflatable kayaks out to the Freeway Lakes (3 Lakes) in Albany, OR. There were many people out in boats or sitting on the shore fishing, trolling. We went through the 1st lake, then through the 2nd lake & finally went under the freeway to the 3rd lake. We paddled all the way to the end, turned around & started shooting pictures. Another set of kayakers that were fishing told us about a turtle on a log on the left side of the lake. My roommate found it first, then I paddled over & about fell out of my boat when I saw how big it was. At least 16-18" across the back, just sitting on a log, legs tucked in & neck stretched just relaxin'. Awesome sight.
