Rylan who is 8 years old was recently diagnosed with Legg Calve Perthes Disease (LCPD) which is a hip condition where the ball shaped head of the thighbone doesn't get enough blood, causing the bone to die.
This caused the top of Rylan's femur to become flat instead of round and it will require trips to specialists out of state and surgery that insurance will not cover!
Rye Rye loves to play Hockey he has played hockey for the Junior Eugene Generals for 4 years he also loves t-ball and to chase his little sister around so this diagnosis was devastating for him since he cannot play sports anymore and has to walk on crutches it is unclear right now how long until he will be up and moving again after his surgery but it could be years!
