For some time (years) I have had a Lemon Tree I planted. When the low temperature is below 32 degrees I protect. This is a Meyer Lemon and is great taste lemons. Plus very useful in variety recipes. The tree is about 3 1/2 to 4 feet high. This year we have picked 140+ lemons. I understand some in the are have had difficulty. And dI am not very smart. These are great!

Meyer Lemon tree that I have is a dwarf style. It may grow to 8 feet tall in the future but I may keep it pruned. During the weather this tree may be okay down to 30 degrees. But temperatures below 32 degrees I protect. Covered and 60 watt.

I was thinking Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake! I used to have a Meyer Lemon tree and it too was a good producer. My lemon meringue pies always turned out better when I used lemons from my tree over those from the store.

Thank you for your comment! My daughter makes once in a while a lemon pie. Boy do I love that. Since I make loafs of bread generally weekly for her and me from about 1989. I said she must make me a lemon pie. That also is so good.
