My lenses I have are Nikkor 18-55 and 55-300. I hope to learn to take better pictures.

Nice! I'm glad you zoomed in on the lighthouse, I haven't been up to Heceta Head since they've finished restoration work...good to see the scaffolding and tarps gone! How are you liking your new camera and which lenses do you have?
