Whale Watching at Cape Perpetua

I went up to Cape Perpetua for the very first time. There was quite a crowd up there watching for whales...one or two were spotted in the 15 minutes I watched.

Thanks Kim! According to Wikipedia the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) built this stone shelter in 1933. During WWII, it was an observation point used as a coastal watch station and had a gun installed in it (gone now). Added to NRHP in 1989.
