Saw this wildfire from Trout Lake - we were there for the weekend at our cabin - which is just about 10 miles from the cabin. We drove back at 10 pm to Portland. The hot shots were based at the Trout Lake school to spend the night in their tents, waiting for the morning to go fight the fire. What a sight - red fire buring in the night with the shadows of many tents in the foreground at night - Mt Adams and the fire huge in the background - wish I had a better camera to do night photography. would be a great place for a photo if someone was there at day break - hugh view of Mt Adams over their tents with the fire buring........
