SALT CREEK FALLS

We took a relaxing drive Saturday to enjoy the scenery at the falls and to get out of the heat. It was still a little warm but nothing like the HOT temps in the valley. It was pleasant in the shady areas. We really enjoy our time there. Mike

Bob, I've always wanted to get a photo of the falls in winter, but since the gate is usually locked in winter I can't walk that far anymore in the snow. Mike

Second highest falls in the state, behind Multnomah. Really beautiful in the dead of winter when 100' long icicles cling to the sides. Thanks for shot Mike. It's always chilly about half way down the trail to the bottom as the mist embraces you.

Thank you Debbie. These falls are just up the road from us. About a 1 hour drive on Hwy 58. We have had light brown sky for the last 2 days from the smoke. Sorry to hear about your respiratory problems. I am staying in the house as well. Mike

Love those shots, Mike! More falls I've never been to! Besides the heat, are you seeing much of the smoke that was blowing up from the southeast? I have smoke allergies and COPD so I've been staying inside.
