A car wreck shut down Highway 99W just north of Monroe Sunday afternoon around 4 p.m.

The LifeFlight helicopter flew to the scene and was taking off as our car was pulling up.

Luckily for drivers in the area there was a country road that went right around the crash, and once they figured that out traffic started moving easily.
