We lived just South of Creswell, Oregon in 2006. Our landlord shot at us 14 times over a 10-day period. The first time a Lane County Deputy Sheriff came to our house. She went up to the landlord’s house. We could hear them laughing. She kept telling my wife, “he did not shoot at you.” We had pellets raining down on our heads. I could see him in the trees pointing his shotgun directly at us. Nothing was done. Over the next 10 days he shot at us in the early morning and late afternoon. Around the 10th day we were able to capture the 13th and 14th shotgun blasts and sound of pellets hitting the house as my wife was on the phone with 911. The 3 deputies came, we gave them a copy of the videotape. They visited the landlord the next day and told him not to shoot at us any more. The Lane County still has the case open but refuses to prosecute. The lawyer for the landlord sent us an e-mail stating that his client shot at us but couldn’t conceive that it would reach us.
