We normally take our feeders down in the fall but this year the little birds just kept buzzing around our windows almost begging for food. So, we filled the feeder again. But the super cold weather had it entirely frozen so we put a lamp on it. This picture was taken around 6:00 am when this little one decided to take advantage of the heat from the lamp.
Why is this hummingbird still here?

Hi I have fed Anna's Hummingbirds, like this one all winter long. I put the feeder right outside the porch, under the eve. I rarely have a freezing problem. In S OR, there are plants that bloom in the winter, as well. I took the chance to get close!
