Front pond in the snow

Over 4 Inches of Snow on Cedar Flat Area

These photos were taken today, Dec. 18th. Cedar Flat Rd. is located just west of Walterville, and we obtain about 4 to 9 inches of snow a few times each year. Usually our ponds show interesting snow and ice formations arount our fountain and waterfall. Our front pond conains three shubunkin goldfish and our back pond has three large koi. Many people don't realize that the fish go into a semi hybernation during the winter, and they aren't interested in eating. They usually wake up sometime in late February or March.
