A Hungry Eagle gets some 'Take Out'

This Bald Eagle was seen flying off with a meal in the Legacy and Avalon neighborhood near MeadowView School Christmas Day around 4pm. The 'meal' appeared to be the size of a large house cat. I saw this rare sight as I was driving on Legacy toward Avalon when heading to the store. It was flying across the park area near the baseball fields and really didn't like the attention it was getting. I have lived in the west Eugene area for over 30 years and this is the first Bald Eagle I've seen in this area.

You should go out to Fern Ridge, last year anyway there were many Bald Eagles flying around the lake. Pretty cool!
