* Thurs. April 16, 7:00-8:30 p.m.: Lecture and slide show with Amel on "Algerian Women and Berber Queen/Warrior Princess." Harris Hall, 125 E. 8th, Lane Public Service Bldg, Eugene. FREE. (Donations accepted.)
* Fri. April 17, 8:30 p.m.: Gala International Dance Day Show, featuring Amel Tafsout and others tba. Cozmic Pizza in the Strand, 199 W. 8th Ave., Eugene. Venue phone: (541) 338-9333. $5.
* Sat. April 18, Workshops: Berber Shimmies, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & Dance of the Ouled Nayl, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Studio B, 189 W. 8th Ave., Eugene. Pre-registration deadline Apr. 10, save up to $15! I have seen Amel Tafsout in performance three times, and each time I've been totally captivated. What a treat to have her here in Eugene!

I have had the extreme pleasure in taking a workshop from Amel and she is truly a master of her art form!! Her knowledge and history she adds enriches the whole experience! I can't WAIT to have her here in Eugene! The FREE lecture will be awesome!
