Was up Wendling In Marcola when we saw this just off the road in the trees it is a concrete block with bars and no way in or out the bars are not moveable. Could you find out what it is?
Found this at wendling in marcola. Can you tell me what it is?

my friend and i was there on friday.my dad was raised there befor moving to creswell when he was a teenager. i remember my dad telling me that it was the safe for the mill and its workers.the bridge was the old swimming hole.

This is the old safe for the mill that used to be up in Wendling. If you look at the bridge just before the spot where the safe is you can see what is left of the powerhouse for the mill. Also up the road is a park that was built for mill families.
