Around 4:15pm today (4/5/09) Fire Dis.2 and an Ambulance were call out to the boat ramp at the end of Templet by the dog park. Appearantly a man who had'nt eatten in about 5 days went for a swim in the South Umpqua and lost consiness. Fire and ambulance were called to the3 scene the were caring for the man when I left. I do'nt no if he was transported or just treated and released.
The sitting on the curb with out a shirt and ponytail is the victum. The others are rescue workers and by staqnders who witness the scene.
