WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! The Eugene Ballet Company, a cornerstone of the arts community in Eugene with a 30 year history, is facing a budget deficit of $130,000 for next season. In response, the dancers have taken on the task of fund raising by starting an organization called Dancers Act Now. Our first fund raiser is Thursday evening and we have only sold a quarter of the tickets we would need to break even. The event is Casino Night with the Ballet featuring casino play, food, wine, prizes and some very special performances. The tickets are only $60 and they include food, wine, $50 in funny money for gambling, performances, and an excellent party with live jazz music. Basically, for just the price of a ticket to one of our shows, you get so much more. Casino Night at the Ballet is this Thursday, April 30th at the Downtown Athletic Club, and WE NEED YOUR HELP letting people know about our situation and about this easy and fun way to help us keep dancing!
