I started off by placing the feed on the ground and sat closer and closer, eventually being able to hand feed them. After only 1 week I had them taking food that I held in my mouth. They don't seem to mind my breath, theirs on the other hand smells like peanuts.

I would agree its precious.. its just the heading I disagree with.Spring is about flowers and new leaves forming,plant life coming to life after being dormant all winter.I guess its just a matter of perspective on what constitutes Spring eh?

Sherbert, this photo is so precious. Digger squirrels are not out all year and are very active in spring. A new spring friend is a wonderful thing, don,t you think???

Wouldn't this be more a picture to be filed under Pets and Animals , rather than Spring photo of the week?
