Eddie, our Yorkie, made a terrible fuss. When we checked, found he had "treed" a bear. Well, just a baby bear - no sign of Mom. We grabbed Eddie, in fear that Mom might show up. Norm got the camera and this is our best Spring picture. According to Brian Wolfer of Fish and Wildlife, Baby is still feasting on his Mom's milk and she is certainly nearby.

Rest of story. May 13th, the road construction workers found the baby bear near the tracks next to Hwy 58, Dexter. The Mom was there also, but had evidently been hit and killed by a train. But Baby is now with the Fish and Wildlife Department.
