Holy cow! Are you guys all OK? Looks like it really tore through that tent!

I'm a KVAL News reporter. The National Weather Service has confirmed this was a tornado. The NWS said your report helped the confirmation. We would love to interview you. Please e-mail me at kvalnews@kval.com or call our newsroom--541-685-5825.

Congradulations on correctly spotting a tornado! Although (as you said) this type of weather is uncommon in our neck of the woods, it can and does happen. You should join the NOAA/NWS weather spotter program, you'd be a great asset to the team!

I guess you don't have to be in Kansas anymore to get a tornado siting! Looks like the green house tent apparatus is salvagable.
