i'm a student at portland state and i enjoy visiting known and some not so known places in the portland area. on the 4th of july my fellow friends and i attended the fireworks show on the waterfront. as we inched closer to the edge of the water we were able to see the hundreds of boats watching the show from below, also noticing the reflection of the bridge and lights on the water. we were also able to go to a swimming hole in west linn oregon to cool off from the heat we experienced on the 4th of july weekend. jumping off the rocks and floating down the small rapids brought relief to our heat exhausted bodies. the final picture is during the rose festival where many children and adults took a break from the rides to splash around in the fountain.
