Asphalt paving and other improvements are nearly complete on the Old McKenzie Highway (Hwy 242). The improvements are on the west side - from the top of the pass (Dee Wright Observatory) down to White Branch youth camp. This historic highway will reopen to traffic around August 15th. Many thanks to Bill Bailey, Eugene Sand & Gravel Paving Foreman, for providing the scenic pictures.
