The Telling Project has roots deep in Oregon soil. The Telling Project produces "Telling," an innovative performance in which military veterans and their family, after extensive interviews and training, stage the 'telling' of their stories for their communities. Founded in Eugene in February, 2007, The Telling Project has produced "Telling" 10 times in the last 2 years - in Eugene, Portland and Seattle. In November, The Telling Project will bring a cast comprised of members from Eugene and Portland to Washington, DC to perform in an event recognizing civilian/military partnerships in national service.
The Telling Project holds the conviction that the simple acts of veterans and their families speaking and and their communities listening will deepen and strengthen us as a people and as a nation.
