Sports Authority are theives

Did you know that Sports Authority double charged over a thousand people on black friday? Did you know that some of the people they stole from are getting paid back? I am one who is getting the shaft and they think its funny.

On black friday I purcased two sleeping bags. I was asked to reenter my number and I got two reicpts. I told the manager I was charged he twice and he assured me I wasn't. He said if I was to bring my bank stement in and he would have no problem refunding my money. The wednesday after I got my bank statement and there it was two charges at the same time at he same place. I drove down and gave the statement to the manager and laughed and said this has happened to alot of people and I would have to call the corprate office. When I got home they looked it up and told me they found it and would take ten days to put it back into my acount. Three weeks later nothing so drove back down to the store and they said they are allowed to do nothing about it and there hands where tied. I called the office again and they said mine was flagged and that they could not refund the extra money they took out of my acount until they could see my statement. I told them they have seen it twice but they want it in the office to see it.I ahve already broke myself on gas driving there twice and now they want me to go to the bank and down there again. It was twenty dollars and I have spent four hours and 25 dollars on gas to get it back. They didn't even call me when I was flagged! I have never been robbed from a company and laughed at. How do they stay in buisness? Its not enough for one man to take to court but I bet they made good money stealing from there customers.

as someone who works in customer service, your bank is not at fault, the store that double charges you is the only one that should have anything to do with this!!! so, going to your bank will do you NO good, they cant do anything to help you.

Thanks for the warning about Sports Authority. I will boycott this store from now on. You should report this to the Better Business Bureau and also file a consumer complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice.

Eugene has a new sporting goods store in Delta Oaks called Dick's Sporting Goods. I'd tell my friends about this store because they have everything there, including customer service. Heater

And that has never happened to you before. Sometimes computer glitches happen. Now customer service should be better. I would have taken the matter up with my bank rather than messing around with driving all over town. I've been double charged b4

Wow - that's BS! Customer service and responding to customer needs will decide who stays in business during rough times and who doesn't. Perhaps the cheese head manager should consider this!

AS A COMPANY THAT WANTS PEOPLE TO COME IN AND SHOP AND SPEND THEIR MONEY IN THEIR STORES, THEY ARE NOT TRY TO HARD TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN, THEY NEED TO REMEMBER THAT WITHOUT US SHOPPING THERE, THEY WILL NOT HAVE A BUSINESS LEFT... THINK ABOUT IT...
