Audrey & Little Romeo

Longing to Show at POA Internationals

Even though Audrey is only 6, she and her 13 year old POA pony, Little Romeo, have competed in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Colorado. In 2010 they hope to make the trek to St. Louis, Missouri to compete at the POA Internationals in July.

In 2009, Audrey was Oregon's 8 & Under High Point Winner along with being High Point 8 & Under at the NW Regional in Longview, Washington and High Point 8 & Under at the Rocky Mountain Regional in Loveland, Colorado. Together Audrey and Romeo either won or placed well in many classes where she was competing against youth up to the age of 18.

Audrey is a great little girl who is very determined and works hard. She practices with her pony almost daily to reach their goals. She and Romeo started competing in the 8 & Under division when she was only 3 years old.

Audrey could still be competing in the Leadline division where an adult assists the rider. Instead she is worried about what lead her pony is loping on and the quality of his movement. She also loves to jump and compete in the speed events.

Together, Audrey and Romeo compete in the following divisions: Halter, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Reining, Western Riding, Trail, Jumping and Games.

Audrey is collecting cans and water bottles to help pay for her trip.
