On Thursday, February 11, Oregon Imaging Centers hosted its bright pink tent at the seventh-annual Affair of the Heart held at the Lane Events Center in Eugene. In keeping with its slogan that “Every picture tells a story,” Oregon Imaging Centers featured a pink, arcade-style photo booth and free group photos, making the tent one of the busiest destinations at the popular event for women.
While groups lined up for their turn in the photo booth, representatives from Oregon Imaging Centers and its event partner, the Oregon affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, shared information about breast cancer awareness and the importance of frequent mammograms in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition, attendees learned about Komen Race for the Cure coming to Eugene for the first time on October 10, 2010. Visitors also had a chance to buy “Make time for the girls” T-shirts and pink bracelets. Proceeds from sales support the work of Komen Oregon in providing free and low-cost screening services to women throughout the region.
Affair of the Heart organizers estimated attendance well into the thousands; by closing time, nearly 500 attendees had climbed into the photo booth to snap a memento of the event and learn more about the state-of-the-art imaging services available at Oregon Imaging Centers.
