You would get better quality photos if you set it to long distance focus range.I once had a older digital and made that mistake.I had been shooting close ups and forgot to switch it to distance focus..I had all blurry landscape picts..Had to toss em

Have you checked your camera's focus settings? In older model digital cameras there is a close up focus feature and a distance focus feature..It has to be switched manually between the two settings. Your long range picts are quite blurry.
