Cycle for Caring

Follow Dr. Frank Turner and his wife on the trip of a life time as he raises awareness for the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.

Volunteers In Medicine Clinic was established in 1999 to provide free primary medical care to low-income, uninsured residents of Lane County whose income falls between 85% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. The clinic has nearly 450 medical and lay volunteers who donate their time and skills.
Approximately 66,000 people in Lane County have no health insurance. More than 80% come from working families, and many do not get or delay medical care because of a lack of insurance. People without medical insurance tend to live sicker and die younger. While efforts are being made at the state and national level to address this crisis, VIM provides access to medical care at the local level. The clinic provides approximately 12,000 patient visits each year to help keep Lane County healthy.

You can donate time or money to the cause.
